PM Modi expresses “best wishes to countrymen” on Chaitra Navratri and Ugadi.

On Sunday, March 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent out greetings in honor of the Chaitra Navratri celebration. On the occasion of Hindu Nav Varsha (Nav Samvatsar), he also sent greetings.”Happy Navratri to all of my fellow citizens. May everyone have courage, self-control, and strength during this sacred Shakti-sadhana celebration. PM Modi wrote, “Jai Mata Di,” on X.

“Sahkti and Sadhana” is the celebration, and the prime minister delivered a song to the goddess sung by the famous classical musician Pandit Jasraj. “The worshipers of the mother goddess experience a renewed fervor of devotion at the start of Navratri. Everyone would be enthralled by this hymn by Pandit Jasraj, which is devoted to the devotion of the mother goddess,” he remarked.

Nav Samvatsar 2025

“I wish everyone of my countrymen a very happy Nav Samvatsar. May you all experience a renewed sense of enthusiasm as a result of this historic occasion, which will also rekindle the determination of a developed India,” he continued.

On the occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu and Kannada New Year observed in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, Prime Minister Modi also sent greetings.

This is a unique celebration that is linked to optimism and vitality. I hope that everyone has happiness, success, and wealth in the upcoming year. The Prime Minister wrote on X, “May the spirit of joy and peace keep growing and flourishing.”

The festival of Navratri, which translates to “nine nights” in Sanskrit, is devoted to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations, or Navdurga. Only two of the four Navratris that Hindus celebrate throughout the year—Chaitra Navratri and Shardiya Navratri—are widely observed because they align with the changing of the seasons. Navratri is observed in India in a number of ways and customs.

On Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Ram, the nine-day celebration, also called Ram Navratri, comes to an end. All nine days of the festival are dedicated to celebrating the goddess “Shakti’s” nine incarnations.

In India, the festival is observed with a great deal of devotion, and the goddess in all her manifestations is honored via rituals and prayers. A spectacular live program on Ram Janmotsav, broadcast directly from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, will mark the conclusion of the Navratri festivities. This special broadcast will convey the celestial celebrations to viewers nationwide on Thursday, April 6, from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.
