“Sahkti and Sadhana” is the celebration, and the prime minister delivered a song to the goddess sung by the famous classical musician Pandit Jasraj. “The worshipers of the mother goddess experience a renewed fervor of devotion at the start of Navratri. Everyone would be enthralled by this hymn by Pandit Jasraj, which is devoted to the devotion of the mother goddess,” he remarked.

The festival of Navratri, which translates to “nine nights” in Sanskrit, is devoted to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations, or Navdurga. Only two of the four Navratris that Hindus celebrate throughout the year—Chaitra Navratri and Shardiya Navratri—are widely observed because they align with the changing of the seasons. On Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Ram, the nine-day celebration, also called Ram Navratri, comes to an end. All nine days of the festival are dedicated to celebrating the goddess “Shakti’s” nine incarnations.
