Tinder U, an in-app feature, was introduced by dating app Tinder in India on Tuesday. This tool was created specifically to help college and university students connect and meet “someone special.”
Students can use Tinder U to connect with their university crushes in real life without having to deal with embarrassing direct messages.
The dating app said in a statement: “Tinder U is designed specifically for college and university students. You can interact with other students in a new, genuine, and intimate setting by choosing to sign up using your legitimate college email address (.edu.in,.ac.in, or.in in India).
“After verification, you can customize your Tinder profile with your interests, clubs, and college information, which will make it simpler to find matches who truly connect with you,” it continued.
Given the popularity of online dating among young singles, a recent OnePoll poll revealed that 57% of Indian young adults (18–25) had used dating apps to build lasting connections.
By concentrating users’ discovery experiences on other students, Tinder U seeks to make connections feel more familiar. They will be able to make lifelong college memories and widen their social network.
Whether you are looking for a study partner, concert partner, or something a little more unique, Tinder U can be your go-to companion. University life is all about trying new things. It provides Gen Z with a secure and welcoming environment where real interactions occur as organically as running into someone intriguing in the hallway or library. Aditi Shorewal, Tinder’s Communications Lead in India, expressed her excitement about enabling college and university students to connect in a secure, genuine, and self-determined manner.
