What is India’s ranking as the most dangerous country to drive in? Here are the findings of the research.

According to an annual analysis published by a US-based driver training firm based on research conducted in 53 nations, South Africa is the most dangerous country in the world to drive in. According to Zutobi.com, an international driver’s education organization that offers courses in several nations, India was ranked 49th, while the US came in at number 51, making it the third most dangerous country to drive in. South Africa remained at the bottom of the list for the second year in a row, while Norway has been the safest place in the world to drive for the fourth year in a row.

What are the indicators used to rank countries?

In order to identify the safest and most dangerous driving countries in the world, Zutobi said it analyzed countries based on characteristics such as motorway speed restrictions, blood alcohol concentration limits for drivers, and road traffic death rates.

According to the report, national speed limits and blood alcohol content levels have not changed, yet the average number of predicted road traffic deaths per 100,000 people worldwide has dropped from 8.9 to 6.3 in the past year.

Alisha Chinnah, who works for a company that sets up roadworthy licensing for cars at testing stations here, stated, “There are laws in South Africa, but the lack of enforcement through corrupt traffic officers who take bribes is common among drivers.”
